| "When I retired, I decided that one of the first good things that I would do for my self would be to stop smoking.
I successfully stopped smoking in a very short period of time, but much to my dismay I immediately began to gain weight and could not seem to stop.
I was so frustrated with my escalating weight that for a brief time I actually considered starting to smoke again. Fortunately, I talked with my doctor about the feasibility of my joining a gym instead.
He thought that joining a gym was a splendid idea but he also thought
I should work with a certified trainer. It so happened that my son had begun weight training several months earlier and he suggested that I consider signing on with Maurice. That suggestion was one of the best anyone has given me in a long time. From the moment that I met Maurice I was thoroughly impressed with his professionalism. Sure enough, he very soon proved himself to be genuinely and consistently polite, patient, confident, capable, and congenial. For example, before I began training, Maurice and I discussed my short-and long-term goals at length. Then after studying the medical history, which I provided him, he designed a program specifically for me. Since I have been training with Maurice I feel really great physically and mentally: Incisive, energetic, and strong. Moreover, I am wearing clothing that I could only think of wearing six months ago (and the inches steadily continue to drop off.) Frankly I never imagined that I’d ever enjoy going to a gym to work up a sweat, but going to the gym is now one of my favorite activities. All of the credit for my new attitude goes to the skillful manner and amiable demeanor with which Maurice has managed my training." Pauline R. Fulton, BA, M.Ed., Ph.D. |
